Seeking Advice on 2023 Seat Tarraco Hybrid Airbag Warning Light Issue

Fault stored

Airbag warning light

Hey folks, got a bit of an odd one with my 2023 Seat Tarraco Hybrid. Recently, I've noticed the airbag warning light coming on and it's showing a fault stored. I'm guessing it might be an issue with the airbag system, but not 100% certain. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, what did your workshop do to fix it? Any advice or shared experiences would really help me out. Thanks in advance!

Hey there, I had a similar issue with my 2021 Seat Leon a little while back. Just for context, I'd say I have some experience with cars (most of it learned from experience). I myself ended up taking it to the local garage. Luckily, the mechanics were able to diagnose that the airbag components were faulty. But here's the kicker; it didn't cost me a cent to get it fixed. Apparently, under some conditions, Seat covers these kinds of issues under warranty. Before I can share more, can you give me more specifics about your vehicle? Like mileage, any recent accidents or other repairs? Having that information can help me give you a more accurate advice based on my own experience. Hope to hear from you soon!

Hey there, thanks a load for chiming in! For a bit more context, my Tarraco's odometer is sitting at about 52784 KM and I got it serviced just recently. No accidents or big repairs to report since ownership, just the usual maintenance stuff. Reading your response made me hopeful it might be covered under warranty. Planning a visit to the dealer soon, so fingers crossed! Cheers for the advice, really appreciate it.

Hey there! With that mileage and a clean bill of health otherwise, I'd say there's a good chance your airbag issue might be covered under warranty, just like mine was. The warranty policies can be a bit intricate sometimes, but in the case of my Leon, it certainly covered the airbag system failure. Since your Tarraco is of a recent model and has been regularly serviced without any major accidents, that bodes well for you. The dealer should be able to help you suss out warranty details and hopefully help fix the problem without costing you a penny. Also, remember to ask them to clear the fault code once they fix the airbag issue. Good luck with the dealer! Keep us posted with how it goes.

Cheers for the encouraging words! Fingers crossed for a similar experience with the warranty as yours. Got your advice noted down - to check out the warranty details with the dealer and to ensure they clear the fault code. You've been super helpful, and I can't thank you enough. I'll surely keep you updated on how things turn out. Thanks again!
