Hey! Glad to see another Hyundai driver in the thread. I feel you, those issues with A/C can be a pain, especially when driving in extreme weather, be it hot or cold. Now that you brought up the Wiring Harness, it’s got me thinking. It sounds like a complex procedure but it's good to know it gets the job done! Do you happen to recall around how much the whole process of fixing it cost you? Since the reapair has been done, has your car given you any new surprises or has it been smooth sailing? I'll keep your advice in mind about finding a specific Hyundai savvy mechanic. I appreciate your in-depth response and concern. Fingers crossed that I can sort it out as well. Cheers!

Hey there! Great to hear from you. Ah, well, fixing the Wiring Harness wasn't exactly pocket change! It set me back around 155.00€. It surely seemed like a big chunk at that time, but honestly, the relief in knowing that the heart of the vehicle (wiring system!) is doing great - totally worth it. Since then, my Hyundai has been running as smooth as silk. Remember I mentioned about the solar sensor acting up? Well, got that checked during my last visit to the mechanic and it was indeed malfunctioning. Got it fixed and it’s all good now. Feels like I got a new car, the Heating and Cooling system works perfectly now! So go ahead. Don't sweat on the costs too much, having a car that doesn’t give you surprises while driving, I tell you, it's priceless! Good luck with your repair and don’t forget to keep us all posted. Keep safe on the roads! Cheers!

Hi again! Good heavens, 155.00€ indeed sounds like a hefty figure but hopefully that's the upper end. I'll brace myself for that price range now, thank you for the heads up! Without your advice, I'd probably step out of that repair shop shell-shocked at the cost. Hearing about your Hyundai sailing smoothly post fix is truly reassuring. It must feel as good as driving a brand-new ride! I earnestly hope mine ends up the same post repair. I'll also make sure to have the solar sensor checked while I'm there, you've got me curious about mine. I am absolutely on the same page with you regarding no surprise trips to the mechanic, they're honestly quite nerve-racking! Once I get my ride sorted out and back on the road, I'll make sure to keep you guys in loop. Take care and thanks again for sharing your experience! Stay safe and happy driving. Cheers!

Hey there! I own a 2004 Hyundai Grandeur and last year, I had similar symptoms on it. The A/C was blowing warm air just like yours and the heating and cooling system was way off. After a lot of head scratching, my mechanic finally found out that the issue was with the Wiring Harness, not the solar sensor. He said defective wiring can disrupt the electrical flow to climate control system, causing inconsistent or incorrect operation. As for my experience at the mechanic's, well, it wasn't a quick 'in and out' kind of a job. Repair was meticulous including unplugging the battery, diagnosing the exact harness part that had corroding wires and replacing them. More serious than I had expected but once it was done, I was back on the road with perfectly chilled air conditioning and a toasty heater. Could be that your Dynasty maybe having a similar issue. I’d just personally suggest for you to get a good mechanic who knows their way around Hyundai models and their wiring systems. It can make quite a big difference. Oh, and as much as I'd like to ignore, defective wiring can lead to much worse issues if not taken care of timely, don't take it lightly. Take care and hope you get it sorted soon!
