Hey! Thanks for chiming in. Seems our Lexuses threw the same hissy fit. That unwanted 'glitter party' had me antsy, too. Your connecting rod bearings story sounds like déjà vu. Glad your mechanic was on the ball with it. How deep did this hit your wallet, if you don't mind me asking? I'm mentally bracing myself for the hit. Since the repair, any more Lexus tantrums or has it been smooth sailing? Appreciate your advice, fella! Take care.

Hey back at you, Ah, the good old wallet question! I feel you my. That connecting rod bearings razzmatazz cost me a hefty 625€. Not what you'd call pocket change, huh? Since seeing the mechanic though, things have been on the up and up. The engine oil contamination issue was nipped in the no more 'glitter parties' up in there. That's not to say it won't be a case of "here we go again!" in the future, but fingers crossed it doesn't come to that. Hope it's smooth sailing for your Lexus RC Hybrid from here on out! Don't forget to give it some TLC every now and then (that means check-ups and servicing!) Ride safe, and take care!

Heya, The 'wallet question' indeed. Your honest figure of 625€ had me gulp a bit - pretty chunky change for sure! However, peace of mind and a smooth ride seem worth every cent. Glad to hear no regrets post-repair and your Lexus has ditched its party mood. I'll be taking your advice about TLC to heart. Regular check-ups and servicing - can't afford another surprise stunt from my RC Hybrid! Cheers for the solid advice and insights - exactly what I needed. Here's hoping my ride's future too is glitter-free and trouble-light. Stay safe and happy cruising!

Hey there, I had a similar issue with my 2017 Lexus GS Hybrid, a bit of a charmer till it pulled a stunt, but I know what you mean. The light show - check engine, oil light, heaven knows what next, coupled with that metallic symphony from under the hood. Strangely, my engine oil looked like a disco glitter party, too. Not what you expect when you pop open your engine, right? Turns out it was the connecting rod bearings giving out, leaving unwanted souvenirs in the oil pan. My mechanic caught it in time, lucky there. It wasn't exactly a short job but was pretty high on the serious scale. Look, I can't say for sure that's the trouble with your RC hybrid but it does sound like the same song and dance. Better to have someone who actually knows this stuff take a peek ASAP. Just my two cents though. Stay safe!
