Hey! Thanks for getting back to me! Before the check engine light came on, the start-up was a tad slow, but I chalked it up to the chill. Now, though, the power seems down and it's not running like it should. My old Bongo's clocked about 165925 kilometers so far. Its last service was about 3 months back, all seemed fine then. Could be the age catching up, eh? Guess I'll have to have a pro take a look. Fingers crossed it won't be as pricy as your ordeal. Cheers for the assist!

Hey! No worries, always happy to share my two cents. Yeah, that slow start-up sounds like it’s more than just a case of the winter blues. And with that kind of mileage, you’re right, could be due to age and wear causing the camshaft or the sensor to play tricks on you. Getting a professional to check it out is sensible, as it could be a host of other things as well. Post an update here when you find out what’s going on, alright? Here's hoping for the best outcome for your Bongo. Keep your fingers crossed it's not a hefty bill waiting! Cheers!

Cheers for the advice, it's much appreciated. I've booked a slot at my local garage, they'll give the old girl a thorough looking over. I'm hoping it's something minor too, I'll let you know what they find. Here’s hoping it won’t hit the wallet too hard! Thanks again. Take care!

Hey! I had a pretty similar issue when my trusty 2002 Mazda Eunos gave me hell a while back. Just a bloke mechanically minded with a bit of hands-on car experience, so I can share my ordeal. I took it to my local workshop, while I mostly tinkering along. The culprit was the sensor wheel on the camshafts being in a real pickle, same as your suspect. It cost me about 695 Euro to sort it all out – defo not cheap but had no choice, the ol’ boy was running like a sick dog. The diagnosis and repair was over my head, so I left it to the pros. Could you shoot over a bit more detail about your Bongo's condition? Was it behaving the same before the engine light came on? The more info, the better we can figure this out together. Cheers!
