Seeking Advice on Electrical Issues and Weak Battery in 2024 Seat Tarraco Hybrid Model
Summary of the thread
The 2024 Seat Tarraco hybrid model is experiencing electrical issues, including fault codes, erratic lights, and a weak battery upon ignition. The initial suspicion was a problem with terminal 30, but similar experiences suggest the battery might be the root cause. A previous case with a 2021 Seat Leon indicated that replacing a discharged or defective battery resolved similar issues. The recommendation is to have the battery diagnosed and potentially replaced to address the electrical problems effectively.

Hey there, Thanks for the solid advice! It's a relief to find someone who experienced the same issue and managed to get it sorted. Your Seat Leon story sounded eerily similar to my current situation with the Tarraco. Good to hear that it turned out to be the battery and not terminal 30, as I initially suspected. Quick question though, do you recall approximately how much it cost you to replace the battery at the garage? Also, has anything else popped up related to this issue since you got it fixed? Thanks a bunch!

Hey, No problem, happy to help a fellow car enthusiast out! After I hit the garage up for the battery issue, I shelled out around 290.00 Euro for a brand new one and the labour to replace it. Not a small sum, but it was a relief to get that electrical gremlin sorted, ya know? About that terminal 30 thing. It did pop up but my mechanic straightened it out as a part of the process. Luckily, nothing else related to this issue has come up since I got those things fixed. Drive safe!

Hey, Appreciate the quick response and the useful information! 290.00 Euro sounds quite reasonable to resolve all that chaos wreaking havoc on my car's electrical system. I'm relieved to hear your problem hasn't resurfaced since your visit to the mechanic. It's very comforting to have someone relate to the problem so closely. I'll be heading over to my mechanic armed with your advice, hopefully crossing fingers, this will sort things for my Tarraco. Thanks again for your help! May the road always rise up to meet you and your Seat Leon!

Hey, You've described a Spot-on scenario that happened with my 2021 Seat Leon, petrol model. Had around 155,000 km on it when similar issues kicked in. The faulty codes were scampering around, and the electrics were acting up big time. The main villain was indeed the battery, just as you suspected. It was a battery problem, not the terminal 30. I got a battery diagno, confirmed it was opportunely discharged/defective. The battery couldn't hold the charge, mainly because it had run its course. I got it replaced with a new one at the garage. Well, it was not a catastrophic problem, something manageable for any decent mechanic. However, Do not underestimate it, got it fixed as a dead battery can cause some serious damage. Hope that sheds some light. The best of luck!
