Seeking Advice on Electrical Malfunction Issues in 2019 Hyundai ix35
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Hyundai ix35 is experiencing an overall electrical malfunction, with issues including a non-functional navigation system and a persistent warning light on the speedometer. The suspected cause is a disruption in communication between control devices, possibly due to a defect in the cable connection of the control unit affecting the BUS system. A similar issue in a 2016 Hyundai Tucson was resolved by fixing the cable connection, costing around 155.00 €, and did not affect core vehicle functions. The suggested solution is to have the vehicle inspected and repaired by a mechanic to address the electrical issues.

Hey there,! Thanks a ton for your input, it's nice to know I'm not alone in this. Your experience with the Tucson sounds eerily similar to mine! I'm relieved that it didn't mess with core features, good to get a bit of a breather there. By the way, do you happen to recall how much lighter your wallet was after sorting this out? And since it got fixed, have you faced any new glitches? Thanks again for your help!

Hey,! Oh, I hear ya - it's always nice to have a general idea of what you're gonna hear when you walk into the garage, ain't it? Post-fix, my Tucson hasn't shown any more signs of CPU rebellion, thank goodness! And as for the financial damage, my pocket felt 155.00 € lighter - all spent on rewiring the control unit's connection to the BUS system. It's not the cheapest fix in the world, but it's a small price to pay compared to getting stranded because of some crazy electronic mishap! Hope this helps you figure things out and best of luck with your ix35!

Hey,! It absolutely does! Having a ballpark figure really helps to brace oneself for the imminent financial dent. Your Tucson behaving post-fix gives me some hope too, glad to hear that! 155.00 € doesn't sound too bad compared to the thought of my ix35 leaving me high and dry on an unfamiliar road. Thank you so much for the useful insight, it's greatly appreciated. Time I took my baby to face the garage music, I guess. Bring it on, car troubles. We're ready! Thanks again!

Hey there,! I feel your pain; car issues are the worst, especially if you're not quite sure what's going on. Your suspicions might not be far off, though. I had a pretty similar issue with my 2016 Hyundai Tucson not too long back. Same overall electric craziness, from the navigation system to some of the warning lights. At first, I was clueless like you, trying to figure out what's going on, but finally took it to a garage. The guys there found out that it was a defect in the cable connection of the control unit. Guess what, it was disrupting the connection to the BUS system similar to what you're going through now. Once they fixed that up, everything was back to normal, but it wasn’t something you could simply brush off, as it was messing with the overall functionality. The good news though? It didn’t seem to affect the core features, so you're probably safe to take a bit of time to get it sorted. Hope that helps a bit and best of luck with your ride!
