Seeking Advice on Electrical Malfunctions and Radar Sensor Issues in 2010 Dacia Logan

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Park distance control without function

General electric malfunction

Fault stored

Hey, my 2010 Dacia Logan with a petrol engine's been acting up lately. The park distance control isn't working, there's a general electric malfunction, and a warning light in the speedometer is lit up like a Christmas tree. A fault code also popped up recently. I suspect the radar sensor might be on the fritz, but I'm not exactly sure. Have any of you guys had similar troubles with your Logan? How did your workshop deal with it? I'd love to hear your experiences and suggestions. Thanks!

Hey! I feel your pain. Had a similar glitch with my 2008 Dacia Sandero. For the record, I'm no mechanic, I've some car experience, enough to get my hands greasy. Visiting the workshop, they said my Sensor was dirty. Gave it a good clean and slapped me with a 45€ bill. Sorted the issue right out, no more weird lights or warnings. Quick question though, have you made any modifications to your Dacia? Or maybe damage from off-road or hail, something like that? Can help pinpoint the problem with more detail. Cheerio!

Heya, thanks for the quick response and advice! Glad to hear your issue got sorted out smoothly. No, my Logan's been pretty much a city dweller, so no crazy off-roading thrills or hail damage. As for modifications, it's stock as far as I know. Other than regular maintenance and topping up the gasoline tank, it's been pretty much hassle-free across its 114483 km run. Guess it's time for a trip to the workshop. Will try the sensor cleaning and see how that goes. Cheers!

Hey dude, thanks for getting back! Keeping it stock is usually the best, ain't it? Considering your Dacia Logan's city lifestyle and no mods, I'm leaning even more towards a dirty sensor as the culprit. You wouldn't believe the dust and grime that can build up just from regular city driving! Just a friendly heads up though, don't forget about the potential rust issue too. Rust can sometimes mess with the electrical system in these older cars, which could be another reason why your distance control and other electric systems are acting up. Also, you mentioned a fault code, you remember what it was? Knowing the exact code can really help you narrow down your troubleshooting. Anyway, I can't wait to hear how the sensor cleaning goes. Keep us posted. Cheers and good luck!

Thanks! That's some quality insight. Didn't really consider the rust issue. I'll make sure to give the body a thorough check. About the fault code, I'm not entirely sure, but I think it was P0700 or something along those lines. I'll have to go back and double check again. Your advice's been super useful, genuinely appreciate it. Surely, I will keep you and everyone here posted about my progress. Here's hoping the sensor cleaning does the trick. Fingers crossed! Later!
