Seeking Advice on Fiat Doblo's Sensor and Electrical Glitches
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Fiat Doblo is experiencing issues with park distance control, electrical glitches, and a persistent warning light, possibly due to a faulty radar sensor. The problem might also involve other sensors like Ultrasonic or LiDAR. A similar case with a Fiat Punto was resolved by cleaning or replacing the radar sensor, which fixed related issues. It is suggested to have the sensor checked and possibly cleaned or replaced to resolve the glitches.

Ah, that's a bit of a kick in the guts really. I was hoping I wouldn't have to replace the whole sensor. My last garage trip was a proper nightmare, don't wanna repeat that. Sounds like your Punto had a pretty similar saga though. By the way, do you remember roughly what it cost you to replace the curious sensor? I'm trying to plan out my finances but boy, it's like trying to herd cats! And just to make sure everything went smoothly afterwards, any other problems popped up since you got it fixed? Thanks a bunch, dude!

Hey, totally get the financial headache you're talking about - cars ain't no joke, right? As for the quirky sensor, it wasn't quite as bad as I thought it'd be cost-wise. Thankfully, after we figured out it was a dirty sensor issue, my mechanic charged me around 45€ to clean the thing up and get it back to working order. Not too shabby, if you ask me. Ya know the best part? After the cleanup, my car's been purring like a kitten. The pesky radar sensor warning light? Gone. No more unwelcome surprises on the dash. All the radar-related problems sorted themselves out after that visit. So yeah, sometimes a good clean-up's all it takes. Hope things work out for you too! Cheers!

Thanks! Right, here's hoping my mechanic can work the same magic on my Doblo. A 45€ clean-up isn't bad at all, and if it stops the dashboard from looking like a Christmas tree, I'm all in. I'll give my mechanic a bell tomorrow and see what he thinks. Fingers crossed it all pans out. Well, cheers for the help, dude. Between the advice and the morale boost, I think I'm set to face the garage again! Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a stubborn warning light to glare at. See you!

Hey, I surely feel your pain there. Just recently I had a similar issue with my 2013 Fiat Punto. You're right about the radar sensor, that scoundrel was giving me a huge headache too. Keep in mind though, it could also be other related sensors like the Ultrasonic or LiDAR ones. Anyway, when I took my Punto to the garage, they first cleared the fault codes and cleaned the sensor lenses thinking it's just some dirt messing around. But that didn't do the trick, the fault light was back in no time. After a quick chat and some head-scratching, they decided they'd do some troubleshooting. Ended up it wasn't just a dirty sensor, but a full-blown fault. The poor lad had to replace the radar sensor. I won't lie, it was a bit of a process but it fixed the issue. After that, both my park distance control and the electric glitches faded away, so I reckon it was all interrelated. So might be your ride's sensor needs the same treatment. Worth having it checked out at least. It might not be a quick fix, but then again, it's not like your car's gonna blow up either, right? Good luck!
