Seeking Advice on Fixing Underperforming Air Conditioning System in 2021 Renault Arkana

Hey folks, I'm struggling with a quirky issue in my 2021 Renault Arkana with a Gasoline engine. I'm noticing less effective cooling/heating and an underperforming blower. I suspect there's an error with the air conditioning system but I wanted to tap into your collective experience. Have any of you encountered a similar issue and how you got it fixed? What was your workshop experience like? Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Summary of the thread

The 2021 Renault Arkana is experiencing less effective cooling/heating and an underperforming blower, suggesting a potential issue with the air conditioning system. A similar problem in a 2019 Renault Kadjar was resolved by replacing a defective climate control unit. It is recommended to have the system checked by a professional to confirm the cause and explore solutions, despite the potential high cost of repairs. Regular maintenance and professional evaluation are emphasized as key steps in addressing the issue.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Hey there, I dealt with a similar issue with my 2019 Renault Kadjar and I have some experience with car issues. It turned out that the climate control unit was defective. Took my car to a local workshop and they got it replaced. Walked out with about an 880 Euro dent on my wallet, but hey, the cool breeze was back on. Could you tell me a bit more about your car's condition? Things like mileage, frequency of maintaining a/c, etc. would be kind of helpful.

Hey, thanks for the reply! My Arkana's clocked in about 158,672 km on the road. The A/C system's mostly been regular - I get it checked during every service. My last service was about a week ago, and the guys didn't point out any issues, so this took me by surprise. Any idea how long the climate control unit's supposed to last in these cars? Those euro seem like a high price to pay for chills and thrills!

Hey again! Your Arkana's been on quite a road adventure with that mileage, hasn't it? I'll say this, your regular a/c check is definitely a smart move. You know, these modern car systems are complex and it’s hard to say when exactly a part like the climate control unit will capsize, especially for different models and driving conditions. In my humble experience with my Kadjar, I hit the issue around 120,000 km. Got me irked real good at that time because, on average, I hear they usually last around 150,000 km. But well, nothing's written in stone with these things! Don't beat yourself up on the euro, think of it this way - you're seriously gonna treasure those 'chills and thrills' when you're stuck in traffic under a scorching sun or freezing cold! As always, it's best to have it checked out by a professional though to rule out any other possibilities. Good luck!

Hey there! Your insights have been extremely helpful. Much like your Kadjar, my Arkana seems to be headed down the same road. I understand nothing is concrete when it comes to these complex systems. Guess, I'll brace myself for that dent in my wallet and take comfort in the upcoming 'chills and thrills'. I'll get it checked by a professional and hope for the best. Thanks again for the advice, Cheers!
