Seeking Advice on Handling Heavy Engine Vibrations in 2016 Dacia Sandero

Vibrations from the engine

Hey everyone! I've got a bit of a puzzle on my hands. My 2016 Dacia Sandero with a Gasoline engine has started giving off some heavy engine vibrations that I haven't noticed before. I suspect there might be a problem with the vacuum controlled engine mount, but I'm not so sure. Has anyone dealt with a similar issue in their car? Particularly interested in how you managed to get it sorted out at the workshop. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Hey there! I've got a 2014 Dacia Logan and experienced a similar shaking problem a while back. Not gonna lie, I've got low car expertise, but I try to learn where I can. So, I took my car to a local garage and turns out, it was a defective cable/connector on the engine mount. All they did was replace the faulty bit and boom! Problem solved. It cost me 165€ to sort out. Check whether your Sandero has the same issue. If you could share your engine type and any error codes, it'd certainly help me give more detailed advice. Keep me posted and good luck!

Hey! Great to hear it wasn't a complex issue with your Logan. My Sandero's engine is making the situation a bit of a head-scratcher. I checked for faulty cables, but everything seemed alright. No error codes yet! Might be my engine mount as I initially suspected. I think it's better if I take it to a pro. Right now, the odometer is reading 74811 km - latest service was a while ago though, maybe that's part of the issue. I'll get it checked and see if a service or a repair job is due. Will post an update once it's sorted. Cheers for your help!

Hey there again! Totally feel your puzzlement - car issues can sure be enigmatic sometimes. Your initial hunch about it being an engine mount problem could be right since you didn't spot any faulty cables or connectors. I echo your thoughts on taking it to a professional. They'll have the right tools to diagnose it and the know-how to fix it, even if it turns out to be a different issue altogether. In my case, I also remember my Logan misbehaving around the 75000 km mark. I thought it was due to overdue maintenance too, but the damaged cable was the actual culprit. Regardless, getting your car serviced is definitely a good idea if it's been a while. Might solve the problem or at least mitigates the chances of something else cropping up. Looking forward to your update. Stay positive! Those beasts of ours sometimes like to challenge us, but hey, that's part of the game, right? Will keep my fingers crossed for you. Drive safe!

Hey, again! Thanks for sticking with me on this. You've got the nail on the head with that 'beasts challenging us' analogy. Almost feels like a scene from a movie, doesn't it? I'm all set to tackle the puzzle head-on, thanks to your advice. I'm taking it to a mechanic this weekend. Fingers crossed, it won't be too heavy on my pocket. I'll surely keep you posted with the developments. Thank you for being my sounding board through all of this! Happy driving to you too!
