Hey! Thanks for the swift reply. I appreciate your insights. I recently crossed 95162 km on the odometer during my last trip to the countryside. The last service was pretty standard, nothing extraordinary, just some oil changes and tyre rotations. I will definitely check the headlight adjusters as you suggested - saving some Euro sounds quite tempting to me right now! Cheers for your help.
No worries! Glad I could help a bit. Your mileage is fairly high, so components may start to wear out a bit, including those servomotors in the headlights we're talking about. Based on your service history, sounds like your Fiat Sedici's been taken care of, which is good news. Before handing over to the pros, do a couple more things. Try adjusting the beam height manually. Posted a guide on this forum a while back, look it up, should guide you pretty well. If that doesn't work, is there any noticeable condensation inside the headlight lens? That can also affect beam direction and intensity. Give it a shot, and keep me posted! We might be able to save you a visit to the shop yet. Hang in there; we'll sort it out!
Hey again! You've been a big help, truly appreciate your pointers. I'll give your guide a good look-see and see if I can sort this out. I haven't checked for condensation but I sure will now, never occurred to me that this could affect the beams. This is why I love this forum! I'll definitely keep you posted with the developments. Thanks once again for chiming in. Fingers crossed I can solve this without that trip to the garage!
Hey there! You're right about suspecting the headlight range control; it has a resemblance to an issue I faced with my 2006 Fiat Tipo. I don't claim to be a car expert but I've had some experience tinkering around under the hood. It turned out to be a defective servomotor in the headlight for me. The somewhat painful part was shelling out a pretty penny — a sweet 1040€ to be exact, at my local workshop. Before you take your car in, do check to see if your headlight adjusters are properly working. Could you share more details about your car? Like mileage and maintenance history? That would help in giving a more precise diagnosis. Remember, every car has its own unique quirks. Cheers!
