Hey Pete, Thanks for getting back to me super quick on this! My R8 is the V10 Plus Coupe model. As for the exact codes, I remember seeing P089A, P160A, and U1003. The mileage on my baby is around 23581 KM or last serviced, whichever way you prefer to look at it. Hope this helps and looking forward to resolving these annoying issues asap. Take it easy, Your fellow gearhead
Hey again, No problem, here to help! Those codes you're seeing can certainly cause a bit of a headache. P089A is a Clutch Position Sensor B Circuit Low, while P160A relates to unusual/multiple cylinder misfire detected, and U1003 is related to the network communication. These alongside the warning light on your speedometer surely indicates an electrical issue. Based on your model and my previous experience with my R8, I'd wager the malfunction isn't due to the parking aid system themselves but more likely due to a bad connection somewhere in your wiring, preliminarily due to worn or frail cables. The function limitation of the parking aid is probably just a symptom of a broader electrical problem. With your mileage, I'd suggest taking your beauty to a certified Audi workshop or a reputable independent workshop with strong experience with Audi vehicles. They'll be equipped with the right tools and expertise to do a full diagnosis and subsequently rectify it. One more tip, make sure your battery is in good condition. A failing battery can also cause an array of confusing electrical issues. Hope this helps. Keep us all posted on your progress. Fingers crossed it's just a minor issue! Catch you later, Pete
Hey Pete, Wow, that's been massively informative. Seems like the problem is a bigger rabbit hole than I initially expected. I'll definitely get my R8 checked out by a certified Audi center as you suggested. Also, I'll pay attention to get the battery checked as well. Will get in touch with them first thing tomorrow morning and keep you posted on the progress. Fingers crossed it's nothing serious or costly. Already feeling less stressed about it, thanks to you! Cheers for all the advice and help! Catch you on the flip side, Your fellow gearhead
Hey! As someone with some experience in car tech, I've run into a similar situation with my 2013 Audi R8. The main problem was a defective cable connection, just like yours. It cost me about 170 Euro to solve the issue at my local workshop. Basically, they did some tests, pin-pointed the problem to the stiff and worn out cables, changed them and voila! No more flashing lights purring warnings. Without knowing the exact specifics of your car, it's hard to nail it completely. Could you let me know your exact model and the codes you're seeing? It'd be a massive help in figuring out your problem. Keep me posted! Best Wishes, Pete
