Seeking Advice on Troubleshooting 2018 Seat Tarraco's Navigation and Audio System Issues

Audio system is not working

Navigationssystem is not working

Hey fellow car enthusiasts, I'm dealing with a weird issue on my 2018 Seat Tarraco with a Gasoline engine. The Navigation and Audio system have suddenly stopped working and I suspect it might be an Audio system signal error. Have any of you experienced something similar and got it fixed in a workshop? Any specific tips or insights into troubleshooting this issue would be much appreciated!

Hey, that's quite a bummer! I had a similar issue with my 2016 Seat Leon, another model from the same brand. With some experience under my hood, I took it to my local workshop. In my case, it was actually a damaged display, cost me around 725.00 Euro to fix. However, your issue might differ as audio system signal error could possibly imply other underlying problems. Do you happen to recall any specific error message on the display before it went kaput? Or any changes in driving conditions or car usage that might have led up to this? A little more info about your vehicle could help pin down the problem a bit better.

Hey, thanks a ton for the heads up! No specific error message displayed. But, now that you mention it, we did go on a pretty rough camping trip recently, might have given the sys a shock or something. My Seat Tarraco's odometer reads 146673 kilometers, and my latest service was around six months ago. Not sure if the mileage or the terrain kick could have affected the audio system though. Thoughts?

Hello, let me tell ya, a rough trip could definitely give the audio navigation system a bit of a jolt. Considering your Seat Tarraco has quite a significant mileage on it, some wear and tear is expected as well. Now, since your last service was around six months ago, my gut tells me it’s likely due to the rough trip rather than 'normal' run-down. There's a chance that some wiring might've gotten loose from the bumpiness and caused the system to fail. Although not a Seat Tarraco, my Leon did once have some minor glitches after a bit of an off-road adventure too! A visit to a good workshop should help you diagnose and fix the problem rather quickly. You might get lucky and it could just be a loose wire! Fingers crossed!

Hello, that's a relief to hear, I hope it's just the rough ride that's caused this. I reckon a good old visit to the workshop is long overdue. Here's to hoping it's just a loose wire and not an expensive fix like a damaged display! Crossing my fingers and will keep you posted. You've been a great help, cheers!
