Seeking Advice on Troubleshooting a Faulty Headlight Cleaning System in 2021 Kia Forte
Summary of the thread
The conversation centers around a faulty headlight cleaning system in a 2021 Kia Forte. The initial suspicion was that the issue might be due to low washer fluid levels. A similar experience shared by another person confirmed that low washer fluid was indeed the cause in their case, suggesting that topping up the fluid could resolve the problem. The plan is to visit a local workshop for a quick fix, with the expectation that it will be a straightforward solution.

Hey, appreciate your quick response! Yeah, I checked the washer fluid after reading your comment and it was low indeed. So it wasn't the headlight cleaning system's fault apparently! I'm taking my car to the local workshop this weekend, hopefully it'll be a quick and easy fix like in your case. By the way, my Forte's clocked up about 110,904km so far - wonder if that's got anything to do with the fluid running low? Anyway, cheers!

Good to hear! Nah, don't think the mileage has anything to do with the fluid running low, it's just one of those things that can happen over time, you know? Probably it's just about time to get it topped up. In my case, didn't need a bit more than washer fluid. Hope your visit to the workshop will be as smooth and simple as mine was. Best of luck and keep us updated! Safe driving!

Thanks! You're right, guess it's just a part of maintaining the car over time. I'll get it topped up at the workshop this weekend then. Really appreciate your advice and reassurances; it's always great to have the support of people who've been through the same thing. Will definitely keep you posted. Thanks again and safe driving to you too! Cheers!

Hey there! Had a similar sitch with my 2019 Kia Optima (Diesel). I don't claim to be a car expert, just a regular Joe with some experience, but when the same problem popped up for me, I realized my washer fluid level was indeed low. It cost me just about 25 Euro at my local workshop - they checked it out and filled it up for me. Have you checked out your car's washer fluid level yet? Might just be the same quick fix!
