Seeking Advice on Troubleshooting Air Conditioning Issue in 2022 Nissan Juke

A/C System Not Engaging

Insufficient Cooling/Heating

Air conditioning blows warm air

Hey everyone, I'm having a bit of a weird issue with my 2022 Nissan Juke (Gasoline engine). Lately, the air conditioning's been blowing warm air and just not cooling or heating like it used to. Also, it doesn't seem to be engaging properly. I'm starting to think it might be something wrong with the air conditioning control valve, but I'm not entirely sure. Any of you guys ever experienced this or have any tips to troubleshoot this? I'd love to know how you got it sorted out at the workshop. Any advice or shared experience is much appreciated!

Hey there, I have a 2020 Nissan Qashqai, pretty similar to your Juke, and ran into a similar AC problem myself. I'm no car mechanic, but I do have some experience with DIY car repairs. I took mine to a local mechanic and found out that the AC was leaking. Ended up paying about 495 Euro to get it fixed. The problem could be the same for you as well, so might be worth having your AC checked for any leaks. To help you further, could you share more details about related symptoms? For example, any odd smells or noises? Also, have you inspected the ac refrigerant? Your answers could provide a clue to what's going wrong. Hope this helps a bit! Up for any more questions you might have.

Hey, Really appreciate you getting back to me. Didn't notice any odd smells or noises yet. Also, I haven't checked the AC refrigerant, but I surely will now, thanks for the tip. Just to mention, my car's done up 42404 KM so far and last serviced not too long ago. I didn't have this issue back then. Guess I'll drop it by the mechanic this weekend and have it checked for leaks as you suggested. Thanks again for your help!

No worries! It's good to know you didn't observe any weird smell or sound. As for the AC refrigerant, if the level is unusually low or has a sudden drop, that might indicate a leak. It's a common issue and might be why your AC system isn't cooling properly. Also, since you recently serviced your car, it wouldn't hurt to check if everything was correctly installed and there are no loose connections or hoses, as these can often cause issues too. While you're at the mechanic, also suggest them to check the AC compressor clutch. Sometimes it can fail to engage and lead to warm air coming from the vents. Hopefully, it's a small issue and will get sorted out quickly. Keep us updated and let us know what you find out. We're here to help each other out. Good luck!

Hey again, Thanks so much for your detailed advice! I'll definitely check the AC refrigerant and hammer out all the points you've mentioned to my mechanic. It's really great to have a guiding hand in all of this; gives me peace of mind knowing that I've got a list of things to check rather than going in blind. I'll make sure to update you all here on what's found and how the repair process goes. Again, I really appreciate your help and the sense of community here. Have a great day!
