Seeking Advice on Troubleshooting Blower Issues in 2021 Renault Arkana Hybrid

Hey everyone, need some quick advice! I've got a 2021 Renault Arkana Hybrid (mileage around 39,230 km) and I've been having some trouble with the blower, it's not working as it should. I suspect it might be an issue with the AC control panel. Anyone else gone through something similar? Had a pretty rough time at the mechanic's last visit, so any insights or experiences dealing with this issue at the garage would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance, everyone!

Hey there, Actually, I had a similar experience with my 2016 Renault Megane just last year. Turned out to be a cable connection problem, a really pesky one though. The blower would turn off and on randomly and man, it surely gets annoying, especially on long drives. Quick heads-up - the issue wasn't with the AC control panel even though it felt like it. A thorough check at the garage found that it was actually the wiring running to the control panel that was defective. So, looks like we both drew the short straw on this one. But hey, don't lose sleep over it. It's a serious issue only in the sense that requires a thorough understanding of the control unit's wiring and connections. A skilled mechanic should be able to fix it without too many problems. Take it easy. And yeah, don't let the garage guys take you for a ride.

Hey, Thanks for chipping in with that really detailed answer! Figured it wasn’t a straightforward issue when the blower started acting up. It really sounds like a pain to deal with, but knowing it's a wiring issue to the control panel rather than the control panel itself simplifies things a bit. Looks like I’ll be needing a pretty skilled mechanic to look into it, though. By any chance, do you recall how much you forked out to get it fixed? Also, since you got it repaired, has any other related issue popped up? Cheers.

Hey back, Glad I could help out a bit! As for the costs involved, it surely made a dent in my wallet. I remember it was around 210€ to get the cable connection sorted out. So yeah, it wasn't exactly what you'd call cheap. And to answer your second query, since I got that sorted out at the mechanic's, it's been smooth sailing! No more issues with the blower or the AC control panel. The defect there got wiped out completely with the repair. Reliability is indeed golden, isn’t it? Hope this helps and your Arkana will be back running cool and comfortable soon! Safe driving!

Hey again, Thank you so much for the useful information. Makes it so much easier to know what I might expect when I take my Arkana in for the fix. That €210 will hurt, but I suppose that's the price we pay for comfort, eh? Great to hear that the issue hasn't bothered you post repair. Definitely looking forward to getting this sorted so I can enjoy a cool, comfortable ride again. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your insights! Your experience has certainly prepared me better for my next trip to the garage. Safe roads to you too!
