Seeking Advice on Troubleshooting Check Engine and Warning Lights in a 2022 Renault Arkana with Suspected Fuel Filler Flap Position Sensor Issues

Hey guys, my 2022 Renault Arkana with a Gasoline engine is acting up. I've got a couple of worrying signs here: the check engine light is on, seeing a warning light on the speedometer, and there's a stored fault. I suspect the fuel filler flap position sensor could be wonky. Has anyone else encountered the same issues? Any tips for troubleshooting these problems, and could you share your workshop repair experiences? Cheers in advance!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2020 Renault Koleos. To share, I'd say I'm someone with low experience in car mechanics. Took my car to a local workshop, turned out it was a Defective fuel filler flap wiring harness causing the mess. The workshop folks got it fixed by replacing the harness, and it cost me around 155 euro. Could you specify whether you have a warning on your fuel filler? That might give more insight into your problem. Hope this helps a bit!

Thanks for your swift reply! Hmm, there's no specific warning about the fuel filler, just the generic check engine light being a pain. I've clocked a good 77047 km since my last service without trouble, so this issue has me scratching my head a bit. Your wiring harness solution sounds worth exploring though. I'll swing it by my regular garage and ask them to take a gander at it. If it's the same issue, 155 euro sounds reasonable, I suppose. Thanks for the tip!

No problems, glad to be of help! Yeah, the check engine light can be such a pain, eh? Sometimes it pops up for the smallest of issues. Just remember that it could be something else entirely not related to the fuel filler flap or wiring harness, since that was just my personal experience. It's always a good idea to have a professional take a look. Don't forget to keep us posted here on what your garage guys find out. Rooting for you that it's not a big, or more importantly, expensive issue! Best of luck!

Cheers for the follow-up, much appreciated! Absolutely, I'm taking it to the professionals - no way do I trust my klutzy hands with this. It's better to be safe than sorry, right? Will definitely keep you all updated on what's what with my Arkana once I hear back from the garage. Fingers crossed it won't make my wallet weep too much! Thanks again for the moral support!
