Hey, really appreciate the response! To give you a bit more detail, my Tarraco is rocking a gasoline engine. As for its mileage, it's clocked a healthy 136484 km as per the last reading. Fingers crossed it isn't as painful on the wallet as yours was though. It's not exactly how I planned to spend my money, but hey such is life! Still, hoping for the best. Cheers for your help!

Hi there, glad to hear back from you. So with your mileage and a gasoline engine, your Tarraco has definitely seen some action. You know, car odysseys are rarely painless money-wise but they always leave you with some priceless lessons, eh? Just like I said earlier, each car problem can be a unique beast. However, from my own tryst with my Seat Ateca, there's a good chance that a faulty control unit might be your culprit here too. It's like the brain of your car's electronics - so if it goes crazy, the entire system goes bananas. The warning light, navigation system failure, everything could point back to it. Incorrect coding might or might not necessarily be the root cause here. Sometimes faulty hardware or loose wiring might also interfere with the system's performance. But hey, why believe some internet stranger having a pint in his garage, right? I strongly recommend taking your Tarraco to a professional. Be it an official dealership or a trustworthy local garage, just make sure they have a good rep in handling electrical issues. Just remember, never procrastinate with electrical issues. They tend to sneak up on you at the least expected times. So before your Tarraco's halcyon days are over, drop by a garage and nip this thing in the bud. Hope you don't get a whopper of a bill like I did! Best of luck and keep us posted, yeah?

Oi, thanks a million for the insight, really puts my mind at ease. You're absolutely right - I wouldn't want my Tarraco's glory days to go up in smoke just yet! I'll definitely take your advice and haul it off to a reputable garage. Gotta keep an ear out for those horror stories about dodgy dealerships, right? Keeping my fingers crossed the diagnosis isn't too grim and the repair bill won't force me to sell a kidney. I'll update you once I have some news. Cheers for the invaluable advice!

Hi Nischo, the error code B200500 is a general code that indicates an issue with the control unit. It could be due to a software glitch, incorrect coding, or even a hardware fault. It's best to have it checked by a professional mechanic to accurately diagnose the problem. Please keep us updated on your progress. Do you have any other questions or concerns?

Hey, I totally feel your pain. I went through something similar with my 2018 Seat Ateca Diesel - pretty much the same deal, just an older cousin to your Tarraco. Now, I'm no mechanic, but I've dabbled a bit in the garage, so you could say I have some experience with cars. Had to take my Ateca into the workshop for a couple of days. They had to replace a Control Unit. Said it was faulty and causing all kinds of chaos. In the end, I paid around a grand for it. Yeah, it stung, but much better than driving a car straight out of a sci-fi horror movie, am I right? But hey, every case is different, so it's good to know more about your Tarraco. What's your engine model? How about the mileage? Get back with some specifics and I might be able to help steer you in the right direction. Good luck!
