Hey there! Much appreciated for your quick response and the help. Actually, the last service was done when the odometer was at 130562 KM kms, but they didn't find anything major at that time, just the usual stuff. Guess I'll have to head back to the garage and ask them to specifically check the wiring harness, could be a similar issue to what you went through. Thanks once again for the advice, you're a lifesaver! Cheers!
Hey again, I'm glad I could help! Sounds like you've got a plan. Hit the garage and get that wiring harness looked at. If it turns out to be the same issue I had, it really shouldn't be too costly. Just remember to give them as many details about the problems, helps them in figuring out the actual cause. That erratic behaviour, the smell coming from the exhaust, drop in power, each little thing can guide them. Good luck with it, hopefully, your Tarraco will be back to its usual self soon! Keep us updated on how it went. Cheers!
Absolutely! Comprehensive detail is the key, got it. Your advice really took a load off, can't thank you enough. Will head to the garage first thing in the morning and make sure I fill them in on every minor detail. I'll keep you posted about how it all pans out. It's community support like this that really helps during these frustrating times. Cheers! And happy motoring!
Hey there. I've got a 2022 Seat Leon, pretty similar to your Tarraco. I'm no mechanic or anything, just some lad who likes cars and knows a bit about them. A while ago, I had a strikingly similar problem. Same bad mileage, same nasty fumes. Drove me nuts. Ended up having troubles with the wiring harness/plug - it was defective. Took it to my local garage, decent blokes. They had me sorted for about 95 Euro, not too steep, really. They suggested I keep an eye on the 'check engine' light for a while, just to be safe, but it's been driving smooth since. I reckon it's worth asking - you recently had any work done on your car? Sometimes, these things get messed up during an unrelated repair. Could give you some hints on what to tell the lot at the garage so they know where to start looking. Hope it helps. Cheers!
