Hi! Thanks for sharing that! Interesting, I've not heard of a faulty wiring harness causing these issues. I may have to look into it. As far as more details about my car, she's run about 87,108 KM by now. Last service was not too long ago, usual routine stuff, nothing major. The noises started after that actually. Fingers crossed it's nothing too serious. I'll take your advice and get it checked out just in case. Thanks again for your input! Cheers!

Hey again, No problem at all, happy to help where I can! Based on the mileage and current state of your ix35, I'd say there's a chance you might be looking at transmission trouble. I mean, the grinding noises while shifting, erratic shifts and whining noise could potentially point towards an internal issue in the gearbox. Not to scare you off but don't wait on this. About your hunch on the gear selection display being faulty, it could be, but in my experience that's less likely to cause the symptoms you're seeing. Still worth getting it checked out though. Would definitely advise taking her back to the service centre, preferably sooner rather than later. Gearbox issues can get pricey if you let them go on too long. And don’t forget to keep us updated, be interesting to hear what the actual problem was. Good luck! Cheers!

Hey! I appreciate your heads up, certainly don't want to let any possible transmission issue sit too long. I think you're right, best to get her in the service centre soonest to nip this in the bud. Good to know it might not be the gear selection display, a sound diagnosis always helps to avoid unnecessary repair costs. You've given a lot to consider and I'll definitely keep you posted on what it turns out to be. Really appreciate your insight. Cheers!

Hey! I've had a very similar issue with my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe, petrol. I'd say I have some experience tinkering around with cars. When I had this problem, it turned out my wiring harness was faulty. Took it into my local garage and they were super helpful, ended up only costing me 180€. I recommend getting it checked soon. It may not be the exact same issue, but it could be something similar. Just a thought, could you tell us a bit more about your car? Mileage, maintenance history, etc.? Might be able to give you some more specific tips with that info. Hope this was helpful! Cheers!
