Seeking Advice on Troubleshooting Low Tire Pressure Issue in 2024 Seat Tarraco Diesel

Tire pressure to low

Hey everyone, I need a hand with my 2024 Seat Tarraco Diesel which doesn't seem to perform as it usually does. Just started noticing that it keeps flagging up low tire pressure and I'm not sure if this could be the core issue or if there's something else I should be looking at. I'd be grateful to hear any advice on troubleshooting this. Anyone out there who has experienced something similar and could share how they resolved it at the garage? Cheers!

Hey there! I had a similar issue with my 2022 Seat Ateca Diesel, just a different model, but pretty much the same beast. I'd say I have some experience with cars, not a pro though. I also got the low tire pressure warning. Drove me nuts! Took it to the local workshop and it ended up being a faulty Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) sensor. It cost me around 625.00 Euro to get it replaced. Could you tell me a bit more about your ride? Particularly the mileage and tire age. It could help in figuring out the specifics of your problem. Quick heads up, try to reset the TPMS. If the warning comes back, it's likely the sensor. Hope this helps!

Hey, thanks for the response! So, my Tarraco has clocked up about 125659 km and the tires are roughly a year and a half old. I've tried resetting the TPMS as you suggested but the warning popped up again. I reckon it's gotta be a dodgy sensor like you said. I should probably take it to the garage for a check. Btw, just had the beast serviced a couple of months ago. It's a bit annoying, eh? Cheers for the help!

Absolutely, it's super frustrating when these niggles surface right after a service. Been there, done that. Your mileage and tire age seem fine, so it's quite possible you're right about the dodgy sensor. Just a word of caution, though, sometimes temperature changes can play havoc with your tire pressure. As the outside temp drops, tire pressure decreases. So, if you're in a colder climate or going from hot to chilly areas frequently, that could also be affecting the sensor readings. But in case you've tuned into this showdown and it's the sensor again causing a ruckus, don't stress too much. When I got mine replaced, it wasn't a too horrible hit on the wallet. The whole shebang should be around 600-700 Euro and an hour or two at the mechanics. Well, hope your issue resolves without much fuss. Chin up! Anyways, keep us posted about the solution and the final cost. Safe driving!

Ah, the bloody temperature changes! Hadn't considered that. I do sometimes drive up to the mountains where it gets pretty nippy. Guess that could be playing a part, for sure. Thanks for pointing that out and also for the heads-up about the potential cost. I was worried it'd be a bigger hit. Will update once the garage sorts it out. Thanks again for all your help! You've been a star! Safe driving to you too! Cheers!
