Massage seat without function
4 comment(s)
Hey there! Cheers for your quick response. Yeah, initially I thought I might have misplaced something while giving it a good clean last week. But no other feature seems to have any issue, so I'm guessing it's the massage seat alone. Not done any recent work that would have led to this though. Might take it to the local garage, let's see what they find. My SEAT's just clocked 181130 KM so far, mostly smooth sailing until this little problem. Thanks for the tip!
Hey, no worries, happy to help! Sounds like you're on the right track then. Given that everything else seems to be functioning normally, it very well could be something specific to the massage seat like a faulty switch or a loose cable connection that you mentioned earlier. Strange things happen when cars start to clock up the miles, right? When I took my Ateca in, the mechanic told me that it wasn't uncommon. Once you narrow down the issue, getting it fixed shouldn’t break the bank (hopefully). Just make sure the place you're taking it to has experience with SEATs or hybrids in general. And yep, keep us updated on what the local garage finds! It could actually help someone else facing the same problems in the future. Safe driving and here's hoping that massager gets back to work soon. Cheers!
Thanks for the advice, appreciated! I'll definitely double-check if the garage crew is experienced with SEAT models or hybrids. Frankly, can't wait to get this feature up and running again. I mean, who wouldn't love a warm massage on these long winter drives, right? Will keep this thread updated on what the mechanics find and how much it'll dent my wallet, haha. But yeah, hopefully, it wouldn't be too bad. As you said, these can sure come in handy for someone facing the same issue. Thanks again for your help. Safe travels to you too, cheers!
Hey, funny enough I had a similar issue with my 2020 Seat Ateca a while back and let me tell you, car tech ain't my strong suit! But I can share my experience - took it to my local garage and turns out the issue was a defective cable connection/plug. Cost me a sweet 95.00 Euro to get the whole thing sorted though. Just curious, have you checked if there's anything else not working properly in the car? Also, has the vehicle had any recent work done that could have possibly jiggled some cables out of place? It could help me give more precise advice. Cheers!
