Seeking advice: Unusual symptoms in Skoda Kamiq - suspected leak in intake system

Hi friends, I'm having a real headache with my Skoda Kamiq (petrol, 2019, 15,940km). For some time now, the car has been showing some serious symptoms: The check engine light is flashing, the engine power is reduced, it becomes restless when driving, accelerates jerkily, makes loud hissing noises when accelerating and vibrates heavily when idling. I suspect a leak in the intake system. Have any of you ever had similar problems or do you happen to know what could be going on? I would love to hear your experiences with such cases and the repairs at your mechanic, as I unfortunately had a bad experience on my last visit. Many thanks in advance for your help!

Hi, I recently had something similar with my Skoda Karoq (petrol, 2016, 30,000 km). It didn't pull away properly when accelerating and made strange noises. The mechanic found out that an injection nozzle was defective. That also explained why the check engine light was on. To be honest, it was a pretty serious problem, as it could have permanently damaged the engine. The repair was straightforward, but it was definitely necessary to have it checked as soon as possible. Maybe it's something similar for you too... hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for your input. The injector thing sounds really serious and is definitely something I need to have checked. Do you remember how much the repair cost you and if anything else has happened since? Would really help me get a feel for what to expect. Thank you!

Hi, so after I went to the mechanic, they determined that the problem was the leak in the intake system. They fixed it for me straight away. The intake hose was leaking and it cost €100 to repair. Since then, my Skoda has been running like a dream again. It's a real relief to have solved the problem and not have any more problems. I hope this helps you and you get your problem under control soon!

Hello, thank you very much for the helpful information. I also suspected a leak in the intake system. 100 € for this repair seems to be okay. It's really reassuring to hear that your Skoda ran smoothly afterwards. I will take my Skoda to the garage as soon as possible and have it checked. Hopefully I won't experience any more problems after that. Thanks again for your help!

My Skoda Kamiq's fuel light is no longer turning on. I filled up the tank this morning and the problem persists.
