Summary of the thread
A 2022 Renault Arkana Hybrid with 59,547 km is displaying a warning light on the speedometer. The initial suspicion is low brake fluid, but another similar case suggests worn brake pads could be the cause. Hey, thanks a lot for sharing your experience, it definitely puts things in perspective for me. Now that you mention it, it could very well be the brake pads. By the way, do you remember how much it cost you for the brake pad replacement and the whole check-up you had done? I mean, just so I can get an idea of how much to set aside for this. And how has your car been doing since the fix? Any other unexpected issues or did that solve everything? Just hoping this isn't the start of a long mechanic's bill saga.

Hey back at ya! Absolutely, happy to detail out the costs. As for the brake pads, they set me back around 480€, including both the parts and labor. Not the cheapest fix, but trust me, it can save you from a pricier headache down the line. Ever since the brake pad replacement, my Kadjar's been behaving well. No more dash warning light, no more brake issues. And for your other concern, yes, the mechanic did check the brake fluid level. Turns out, it was tad bit low, but it was fixed as part of the overall brake system check-up. So, all's been good in the hood since then, not the beginning of any saga thankfully! Definitely get your Arkana checked out. Best of luck!

Great to hear that, your experience makes me feel a lot more prepared for what's coming. Thanks for the rough idea about the costs and the details about the possible causes. Honestly, I'm relieved to hear that I'm not the only one who's been in this boat and that it's fixable. I've made a note of everything you mentioned and I will definitely mention this to my mechanic before he starts inspection. It gives me a starting point and direction on how to deal with it. Thanks once again! Hoping my trip to the mechanic this time won't be as bad. Fingers crossed that my Arkana will be as well-behaved as your Kadjar post this fix.

Hello everyone! I own a 2012 Mégane 3 and for some time now I've had the engine failure warning light come on and it won't go off. When I start the engine, there are no suspicious noises. So I ran Carly on the OBD port and it gave me a code 94037B. What could this code be due to? Thank you for your feedback.

The code 94037B typically relates to an issue with the emissions system, possibly involving the catalytic converter or oxygen sensors. Start by checking the oxygen sensors for any visible damage or loose connections, as they play a crucial role in monitoring and adjusting the air-fuel mixture. If the sensors appear fine, it might be worth having the catalytic converter inspected by a professional, as it could be clogged or malfunctioning. Keep an eye on your vehicle's performance and fuel efficiency, and let me know if you notice any changes or have further questions.

Hey there, sounds like an issue I had on my 2019 Renault Kadjar not long ago. The dashboard lit up with the same warning, shy of 60,000 KMs, hybrid engine too. Turns out it was actually worn brake pads and not low fluid levels in my case. My mechanic explained that worn brake pads could be a serious issue if not attended to, mainly because it impacts braking efficiency and could risk damaging further parts of the brake system. He replaced the brake pads and also inspected the other parts of the braking system just to make sure everything was okay. The warning light hasn't been back since. So yeah, it might be a brake wear issue instead of low fluid. Definitely worth getting it checked out ASAP instead of letting it potentially become something more severe.
