Hey, thanks for the insight! That definitely sounds like what's happening with my old beast. Seems like I'll need to get that gel pad replaced too. Out of curiosity, do you remember around how much you shelled out for the whole fix? And has it been smooth sailing with the sensor since then, or have any other complications popped up? Cheers!

Hey! So, regarding that gel pad replacement, it ran me about 62.5€ in the end. But honestly, it was worth it. My windshield looks good as new, no more pesky bubbles. As for the Rain-light sensor, it's been a breath of fresh air since the mechanic fixed it up. No complications or glitches at all, smooth cruising all the way! Don't sweat it, your old beast will be back in shape in no time. Good luck! Cheers!

Hey, great to hear that! That gives me some relief now, and 62.5€ seems absolutely reasonable for this fix. And since you haven't had any issues post-fix, it definitely sounds like the way to go. I'll probably drop it off at the garage this weekend then. Thanks so much for your insight and help, much appreciated! Cheers!

Hey! I know exactly what you're going through. I faced the same problem with my 2012 Volvo S60. Turns out, the bubbles forming under the gel pad on the windshield can indeed interfere with the Rain-light sensor. Got it checked last time when I took my car to the garage. The mechanic had to replace the gel pad and reset the sensor. It was a bit of a headache, but not a really serious issue. Hope that helps! Cheers!
