Seeking Affordable Fix for Dacia Sandero's AC Blowing Warm Air
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Dacia Sandero is experiencing an issue with the AC blowing warm air, suspected to be related to the AC compressor switch-off. This problem is not uncommon, as a similar issue occurred with a 2014 Dacia Duster, which was resolved by addressing the AC compressor without significant cost. The suggested solution is to consult a reputable mechanic to perform the necessary repairs, potentially avoiding more severe issues in the future.

Heya! That's interesting to know. I guess these Sanderos can throw funky AC tantrums too. Saved me a sleepless night thinking it was a major engine glitch. Just out of curiosity, do you recall roughly what set you back for the repair? And has anything else come up with your Duster since getting the AC sorted? Cheers!

Hey! Yeah, cars can have a mind of their own sometimes - mine included. Brought my Duster to the mechanic and he sussed out that dodgy AC compressor. All that needed to be done was a good ol' switch-off, got that taken care of without breaking a sweat, let alone breaking the bank. Price was quite okay for the peace of mind you get knowing your ride's in tip-top shape. All in, the repair charges amounted to around 625€. Pedestrian coin compared to a big engine job, right? Since then, comrade, my Duster's been running as smooth as a baby's bottom. Usual wear and tear aside, no dicey issues to report yet - fingers crossed. Hope this helps and puts your mind at ease about your Sandero. Good luck!

Sounds encouraging! I can stomach the repair if it's around that cost, sure beats a hefty engine job any day! I hoped for a cheaper fix, but I'd rather not risk it turning into a bigger issue down the line. It's comforting to hear your Duster's been trouble-free post repair. Lets me hope my Sandero follows suit. I'll reach out to a reputable mechanic tomorrow for the AC compressor switch-off. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! Much appreciated! Cheers!

Hey there! Similar trouble with my 2014 Dacia Duster not too long ago, turned out you're right in the ballpark. It was indeed the AC compressor kinda going rogue, and this was at 100,000 KM thereabout. Nothing major, but definitely annoying, especially during a hot spell. My mechanic did the job. It was actually a relief, you know, not a serious engine problem or anything. Quite a common issue it seems. So, yeah, might well be what's up with your Sandero too. Anyway, best of luck with the fix!
