Hey, thanks for sharing! Sounds like we're in the same boat. I'm relieved to hear that swapping out the Motor Control Relay sorted out your Tucson's electrical gremlins. Just out of curiosity, do you recall how much you dished out for the fix? And, has anything else popped up since or has your Tucson been on its best behavior? Cheers!
Hey there! Yeah, we sure are on the same adventure, aren't we? About the cost, it set me back about 130 quid to get the Motor Control Relay fixed up. As for anything else, well, the Terminal 15 interruption issue did raise its ugly head again, but since I took it back to my mechanic it's been sorted. Since then, my Tucson's been behaving like a champ - no more electrical mood swings! Fingers crossed your Sonata also gets all spruced up too without any problems. Good luck with it! Cheers!
130 quid, huh? That's a bit of a dent, but hey, anything to get the old girl running smooth again. Thanks a million for sharing your experience and for the heads up about possible Terminal 15 issues cropping up again. I'll definitely keep this in mind when I talk to the mechanic. I'm hoping my Sonata will be just as resilient as your Tucson post-repair. Fingers crossed and thanks again! Cheers!
Hey! I feel your pain! I had something similar happen with my 2016 Hyundai Tucson. Weird electrical issues left or right. After the usual fiddling with the fuses and battery, my mechanic found the main culprit - it was the Motor Control Relay, it was defective. Terminal 15 interruption is right there on the symptom list, as it's directly connected with the startup system. No wonder your battery's acting weak and lights are flickering. You absolutely need a new relay. My issue, similar to yours, wasn't a simple problem but quite a serious one. Hang tight though, a good mechanic won't see it as anything too daunting. It's basically like replacing a heart valve, but for cars. Got mine swapped out, and my Tucson's been running smooth as butter since then. Fingers crossed yours works out the same way! Good luck!
