Hey there, nice to hear your input. That sounds pretty plausible to me. Although I haven't checked for a cable break specifically, it's definitely worth looking into. My LFA's clocking up at 178191KM now and I guess parts do wear and tear over time. I'll take your advice and get my local guys to have a check. Hope it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg though! Thanks a bunch.
Hey, you're absolutely right about the wear and tear, especially with that mileage. I'm glad you found my input useful. Since we're talking about the same brand, albeit different models, the design might not be too dissimilar. I do hope it's just a simple cable issue for you as it was for me, and not something more complicated. After the fix, mine's been working like a charm. Fingers crossed, your repair costs will be manageable. Do keep us posted about how it went! Cheers.
Cheers! I really hope it's as straightforward as a cable issue, too. Sort of comforting to hear that your Lexus had a similar issue and that it was manageable to fix. I'll definitely take it to the mechanic as soon as possible and let them do their thing. And yeah, I will keep you guys posted on how it goes. Fingers crossed it's not too costly. Thanks again!
Hey! I had a similar situation with my 2009 Lexus IS F. I'm not exactly a car genius but I know my way around. At first, I couldn't figure out what the heck was going on but my local workshop turned out to be a lifesaver. After checking, they found out that it was a cable break that caused the issue. Ended up shelling out 155 Euro to fix it. Does your model have a similar layout? Maybe it's the same issue. Try to let your workshop have a look.
