Seeking Solutions for 2019 Kia Seltos In-Car Calling Feature Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Kia Seltos owner is experiencing issues with the in-car calling feature, suspecting a glitch with the hands-free microphone system. Another individual with a similar vehicle had a related problem, which was traced to the Infotainment system rather than just the microphone. The suggested solution involves visiting a local workshop to diagnose the issue, considering both hardware and potential software updates as possible fixes.

Hey there! I appreciate the input, sounds like we're on the same page! I couldn't tell you the exact version of my Infotainment system off the top of my head, but I'll definitely check it out tomorrow. Just clocked in 46134 KM on the Seltos last week, so maybe it's a wear and tear thing, who knows? I'll make sure to update this thread after visiting my local workshop. Your experience actually gave me a heads-up on what to expect, in case my issue turns out to be similar. So, thanks for that! Keep you posted!

Hey! No worries at all, glad I could give some perspective! Sounds like you've been putting that Seltos through its paces, huh? Nice one. It's definitely worth digging into a bit with the Infotainment system - those things are pretty complex, and even a minor problem could throw some functions out of whack. Don't forget to ask your mechanic about the regular software updates, they might have overlooked it in the regular service. Just hang in there and do keep us posted. At the end of the day, we all benefit from shared experiences, right? Good luck at the workshop!

Hey! Yeah, the Seltos has seen quite a bit, haha! Good call on the software updates. Guess a visit to the mechanic just got bumped up on my to-do list. I'll make sure to share any solutions I find on this thread - always good to save someone else from a headache, right? Thanks again for all the advice and fingers crossed for the fix! Catch you on the flip side!

Hey! I've got a 2017 Kia Sportage, so pretty darn similar in most aspects, right? Honestly, I'm no grease monkey, but I do have some experience with cars, only learned this stuff out of necessity though. I stumbled upon this exact problem a while back. Long story short, swung by my local shop and they had this browsed over. It turned out to be not just a microphone issue, but a full-on hitch with the Infotainment system. The fix cost me 815 Euro, hefty I know. By the way, do you know the exact version of your Infotainment system? It can help if we have complete info to tackle it right at the source. Anyway, hope this helps!
