Seeking Solutions for Faulty Windshield Wipers on 2020 Fiat 500, Suspected Relay Issue

Hey, I'm having some trouble with my 2020 Fiat 500's wipers. They're not working right and I've got some fault stored. There's also this pesky warning light on my speedometer. I'm suspecting it might be a problem with the windshield wiper relay. Anyone here faced this issue and had it fixed? Could definitely use your insights. Thanks!

Hey there, I had the exact same issue with my 2018 Fiat Punto, pretty similar to your case. Talking car mechanics, I'd say I have some understanding, not an expert though. The issue was a defective cable connection, got it fixed at my local workshop. That set me back by €155, but my wipers have been running smooth since then. Might be that your issue is the same, but your car's a different model. Can you give more info on your vehicle's current situation? I could then spill out more details from my experience. Hope this helps a bit!

Hey, thanks for getting back. Yeah, the issue seems to be pretty similar. My Fiat's got 142928 km on the clock and its last service was about a few months ago. Not sure if that's relevant? The wipers have been acting wonky for a few weeks, and now they're practically useless in the rain. Tinkered around a bit, but no luck. Something's off, but can't put my finger on it. Your experience does give me a bit of a direction though. Reckon I might get it checked at my local garage as well. Cheers!

Howdy! That info helps, alright. Given the mileage and the history, I'd definitely recommend heading over to your local garage for a proper check. The fact that it has been wonky for a while and isn't getting any better does sound like some faulty wiring to me, possibly like what happened with my Punto. Remember, it ain't just about the wipers acting up. That warning light's a sign that something more might be up. A quick check should let you know if it’s a simple wiring issue or indeed the windshield wiper relay, like you originally suspected. Can't hurt, right? Hope it works out fingers crossed. Let us know how it goes!

Yeah, you're right. Better safe than sorry, I'll take it down to the garage this week for a comprehensive check. It's a bit of a hassle, but I'd rather not risk it considering the warning light and all. I'll definitely keep you posted on this. Your advice has been really helpful. Cheers!
