Seeking Solutions for Fiat Tipo's Air Conditioner Blowing Warm Air
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Fiat Tipo is experiencing an issue where the air conditioner only blows warm air. The suspected cause is the A/C compressor switch turning off, potentially due to a worn-out clutch causing the compressor to disengage. A similar issue was resolved in a Fiat Bravo by replacing the defective compressor component, which restored proper function and cost around €625. The suggested solution is to have the compressor checked and possibly replaced to restore the air conditioner's cooling capability.

Hey there! Appreciate you sharing your experience with me. Seems like your case with the A/C compressor in your Fiat Bravo really matches up with my current troublemaker. Wondering if you could also recall about how much you had to drop to get it fixed back then? And did you encounter the same problem again, or any other drama with your air-con since you sorted it out? Hope your ride's doing fine!

Hey again! Just recalling, when my Bravo's A/C compressor went bad, it cost a bit of a dent in the wallet. The fixing took around €625 to replace the said defective component. But hey, since the repairs, everything's running as smooth as a kitten. Haven't had any more problems with the compressor or any other air-con drama, so I'd say it was money well spent. Seems like once you get that old part swapped out, things should get back to normal. Hopefully your Tipo is back and chillin’ soon!

Hey again! That's some value for the cash, then. €625 isn't actually mind-blowing considering the compressor's vital role and how much I love my cool air! It's great knowing yours has been going strong with no air-con pickle after the fix. Thanks a ton for your insights and wishing your Bravo many more problem-free miles! I'll give my local garage a ring for the compressor, fingers crossed! Stay safe and happy driving!

Hey! I have a 2012 Fiat Bravo and faced a pretty similar problem last summer. My air-con was doing the same thing, only blowing warm air. So, I took it to my local garage and it turned out the issue was indeed with the A/C compressor, like you thought. The clutch was worn out, causing the compressor to disengage frequently, which prevented the air-con from cooling. So it's not a catastrophic issue, but it sure can be an inconvenience, especially in the summer. Good luck with your Tipo, hope this info helps!
