Thanks a lot for the speedy response, that’s quite handy. My Tarraco has reached 137966 KM now and it had its last service just a month ago. They didn't mention anything about the heater then. Looks like I should have a word with my mechanic about the electric auxiliary heater. Fingers crossed, I hope it would not cost an arm and a leg. Truly appreciate your help!

Hey again! I'm glad the information was useful. Given your mileage, it does make sense that parts like the heater begin showing some wear. It's surprising the service folks didn't catch anything last month. When you go back, for sure mention your issue and the potential problem with the heater. You might spare yourself some chilly drives! Just a tip: negotiation is key! Repair joints can give you a discount if you ask nicely, especially if you're a regular. My costs were cut down a bit after haggling. With luck, you might not have to sell any important body parts to afford the fix 😂. Keep us updated on what you find out, always useful info for fellow Seat drivers. Best of luck!

You're a life-saver! I think I'm much better prepared for that talk with my mechanic now, thanks to your advice. Negotiation, huh? Never thought of that before, but I'll give it a go. As for my fellow Seat drivers, rest assured that I will keep you all posted on my progress. Hopefully, it won't be long until I get my beast working at its best again! Keep those seats warm, the winter's not over yet! Much appreciated from one shivering Seat driver. Cheers!

Hey! Yeah, I had a super similar problem with my 2017 Seat Ateca, also a gasoline engine. I'm not a car expert or anything, but I have a bit of experience maintaining my ride. The heating was wonky on mine too and it turned out to be the electric auxiliary heater just like you suspected. To find out the issue, I took it to the local workshop. They did some checks, twiddled around with a few things, and finally figured out the heater was defective. The guys replaced it and the total damage was 350.00 Euro. Anyway, if you'd give me info about your mileage and any past maintenance history on your Tarraco, it could help me give you more specific advice. Hope this helps a bit!
