Seeking Solutions for Persistent Low Tire Pressure Warning in 2022 Renault Arkana

Hey folks, hoping someone could shed some light on an issue I'm having with my 2022 Renault Arkana, has a petrol engine and done a decent 145,630km so far. Lately, I keep getting a warning for low tire pressure. I've had a bad run with my last mechanic, so I'm keen to hear if anyone else has had this persistent 'tire pressure too low' issue? Any recommendations for honest mechanics experienced with this? Much appreciated!

Summary of the thread

A 2022 Renault Arkana owner is experiencing a persistent low tire pressure warning. The issue may be due to a faulty tire pressure sensor, part of the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), which can fail, especially with high mileage. A suggested solution is to have the tire pressure sensor checked and potentially replaced by a reliable mechanic to resolve the warning issue.

Hey there, I had a similar issue happen to my 2019 Renault Megane. It kept showing a low tire pressure warning, despite the tires looking fine. Then I found out the tire pressure sensor was faulty. It's a part of the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) and sometimes they just go kaput, especially with mileage similar to yours. No biggie really, just a bit annoying. I got it sorted at my regular garage - the tech folks there are pretty good. They replaced the sensor and reset the TPMS system. It was fixed in a jiffy and I haven't seen that pesky warning since then. So yeah, sounds like your Arkana might have a similar issue. Get the tire pressure sensor checked and dealt with. Cheers!

Hey, thanks for sharing that info about your Megane, real helpful. Looks like I might be heading for a tire pressure sensor change then! Just out of curiosity, do you happen to remember how much you had to shell out for that fix? And has anything else cropped up after sorting the sensor issue? I'm just tryna gauge what I'm in for here. Cheers!

Hey, no problem, always happy to help a fellow car enthusiast! As for cost, fixing the defective part set me back about 625 smackers - nothing too outrageous! Since I got that sorted out, haven't been hassled by that pesky 'tire pressure too low' warning anymore. It seems my Arkana took a massive liking to the new sensor, and all's been running smoothly on that front. Hope it goes just as well for you! Cheers!

Brilliant, really appreciate the advice and sharing of your experience! It gives me a ballpark to aim for. Plus, a bit of a relief to know it doesn't sound like an earth-shattering problem. Nice to hear it's been smooth sailing for your Arkana, here's hoping mine is as cooperative. Thanks again! Cheers!
