Seeking Solutions for Power Window Issue in 2022 Renault Arkana Hybrid

Hey folks, I'm having some trouble with my 2022 Renault Arkana Hybrid. The power windows are acting funny and there's a fault stored. I've tried re-teaching the window regulator but it didn't seem to work. Wondering if anyone else out there has stumbled upon this snag? If so, how was it resolved at the workshop? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Summary of the thread

A 2022 Renault Arkana Hybrid owner is experiencing issues with the power windows, which are malfunctioning and storing a fault. Despite attempts to re-teach the window regulator, the problem persists. Possible causes include a failing 12-volt battery, which powers auxiliary functions like windows, or dirty or damaged window seals. It is recommended to have the vehicle inspected by professionals to accurately diagnose and resolve the issue.

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2020 Renault Clio a while back. Not a car guru, mind you, but I have had some hands-on experience dealing with minor issues over the years. Had to get it over to my local garage for them to check it out, turns out, the battery was on its last legs and needed replacing. Cost me 290 euro all in for the fix. If you could share a bit more about your car, like its exact model and other specifics, it'd be easier to help out and offer additional suggestions. Did the issue start out of the blue or after a specific event? Any other symptoms? Hope this helps!

Cheers for the feedback! I've been driving her for about 136439 km now, last service not so long ago. Quite strange to encounter a glitch like this out of the blue, I must say. The issue kinda just started randomly. Other than the odd window mishap, haven't noticed any suspicious signs or changes in how the car runs. You reckon the case with the battery might be the shadow lurking in my problem? Was thinking about that too, but she's a hybrid, so wasn't quite sure if the same logic applies. Appreciate you chipping in!

Hey, glad to help out where I can! Absolutely, it's a bit of a head-scratcher when things like this pop up out of nowhere. In my case, it was the battery, but with your Arkana being a Hybrid, it is a bit different. Now, I've done a bit of legwork before on hybrids and they tend to have a separate 12-volt battery that powers things like the lights, radio, and your windows. Chances are your hybrid battery is in good shape, but the 12-volt one might be on its way out. Those sneaky little issues are often the first signs that it needs checking. Also, the Renault's have this funny little quirk - sometimes dirty or damaged window seals can mess with the power window function. A simple cleaning, or in worse cases, replacement, can sort it out. Anyway, I'd definitely recommend taking it to a professional, they'll get to the bottom of it for sure. Best of luck! Keep us posted on how you get on!

Aw, good on you for lending a hand! Never crossed my mind about that separate 12-volt battery situation, definitely gotta check on that. And yeah, those dirty seals could indeed be a little suspect, now that you mention it. No worries, planning to get her checked out by professionals at the earliest. Fingers crossed it's nothing too serious. I'll certainly drop an update once it's sorted. Thanks again for the advice! Truly appreciate it. Cheers!
