Hey! Appreciate you taking the time out to reply. My Arkana's at 29490 km, so it's certainly not at the finishing line yet. I recently got it serviced as per schedule, no significant overhaul or anything. I've been experiencing these symptoms pretty much daily for the past couple of weeks. Hope this info helps and fingers crossed for finding a solution soon, don't fancy coughing up a big repair bill. Cheers!
Hey, No worries, glad I can lend a bit of know-how from my Kadjar escapade. Right, so at around 30k km, your car should still be relatively spry. It is indeed quite concerning that these issues are popping up daily. Given the symptoms, I reckon your original hunch about the rail pressure sensor might be spot on. Mine was a little off in the performance before I brought it to the shop. If your Arkana's sensor is off, it could mess up the fuel/air mix, hence the black smoke, jerking, and even the engine shutting off and reduced power. Though it's a bit hard to know for sure without getting your hands dirty. Even us workshop warriors sometimes need a second pair of eyes on these problems. If you're not up for tinkering around under the hood, I'd suggest you drive your Arkana into a workshop. Oh, and try not to delay too long. Continuous driving with the same problems could potentially lead to further damage. Wishing you good luck, and hope your bill is nothing more than some spare change!
Heya, Thanks, this definitely puts my mind at ease knowing I'm not just throwing hypotheses around. You're right, better have these issues sorted out sooner than later. Guess it's time for me and the Arkana to have another field trip to the workshop. Fingers crossed that the fix is as straightforward as yours was and doesn't cost an arm and a leg! You've been a huge help, appreciate it. Cheers!
Hey there, I had a somewhat similar issue with my 2019 Renault Kadjar. I'd label my car expertise as 'low experience'. But, when issues hit, internet guides were my best friends! Anyway, after some messing around with the car, I had to take it to a good old workshop, as the beast was still being rowdy. Turns out the pressure sensor was indeed defective. A good 240 euro later, the car was back to its prime. I think you're on the right track, but you might want to take it into a shop to confirm. Btw, could you share a bit more about your Arkana's mileage, fuel type, and how frequently you're experiencing these symptoms? These could give us more clues. Anyway, hope this helps & good luck!
