Seicento key fob battery issue
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Fiat Seicento owner experienced a 'key battery low' warning, leading to a complete failure of the keyless access system. The issue was confirmed by error memory indicating a low voltage problem with the key. While initially considering a simple battery replacement, advice from another owner suggested the possibility of needing key reprogramming. Ultimately, replacing the key fob battery resolved the issue, restoring functionality.

Beyond checking the error codes, I haven't done much else. I assumed it was a simple battery issue, but thought I'd check if there's anything else I should consider before replacing it. What did you end up doing?

In my case, replacing the battery didn't solve the issue. The workshop had to reprogram the key. So yes, it might be just the battery, but better be prepared to visit the workshop. Good luck.

Thanks for the info! Turns out it was indeed just the battery in the key fob. A quick replacement at the workshop cost me 37€ and everything's working perfectly again.

I had a similar problem with my Seicento. Keyless entry stopped working altogether. Have you tried anything besides reading the error codes?
