Sentra Ignition Problems

My 2013 Nissan Sentra Hybrid has been acting up. Sometimes the engine won't start, other times it shuts off while I'm driving. When it does run, it's rough. Mileage is at 235428 km. I've checked for any obvious loose connections, but haven't found anything. Anyone else experienced similar issues?

I had similar symptoms with my Sentra. Intermittent starting, stalling, and rough running can point to a faulty ignition switch. Have you checked the fuse box for any blown fuses related to the ignition system? A defective fuse can sometimes cause these issues.

Thanks for the tip. I'll check the fuses. Do you know which fuse specifically handles the ignition circuit? Also, did replacing the ignition switch fix your problem permanently?

Consult your owner's manual for the precise fuse location, as it varies depending on the model and trim. Replacing the ignition switch resolved the problem completely. The shop confirmed it with an automotive multimeter to diagnose a failure of the internal resistance element of the switch. I recommend having your car looked at by a qualified technician.

Appreciate the advice. Turned out to be a faulty ignition switch as you suspected. Got it replaced for 52€, and the car is running smoothly again.
