Sentra Overvoltage Error
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Nissan Sentra hybrid is experiencing an overvoltage error, numerous fault codes, and general electrical malfunctions. The issue could be due to an alternator failure or a bad car battery. A suggestion was made to check the voltage regulator, which is part of the alternator assembly, as it might be causing the system to receive too much voltage. After taking the car to a workshop, it was confirmed that the voltage regulator was the problem, and replacing the alternator assembly resolved the issue.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Voltage regulator, huh? I hadn't thought of that specifically. Where is it located, and is there a way to test it without just throwing parts at the problem? I'm trying to avoid a huge bill.

Yeah, the voltage regulator is usually part of the alternator assembly itself. Honestly, testing it properly requires some specialized equipment. If you're seeing a bunch of overvoltage codes, and things are acting flaky, it's probably the culprit. To be safe, I'd suggest taking it to a trusted workshop and have them properly diagnose the issue.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a shop, and you were spot on. It was the voltage regulator. They replaced the whole alternator assembly (since it's all one piece), and the overvoltage errors are gone. Total cost was 290€.

I had a similar issue with my Sentra. Lots of random electrical gremlins, and the overvoltage code sounds familiar. Did you check the voltage regulator? It might be stuck open, constantly flooding the system with too much juice.
