Sentra Throttle Valve Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Nissan Sentra experienced a significant reduction in engine power and a persistent check engine light, with diagnostic codes indicating a defective throttle valve. Possible causes considered included issues with the accelerator pedal module or electronic components. Despite attempts to clean the throttle body and check the throttle sensor, the problem persisted. The suggested solution was to replace the throttle body, which resolved the issue and restored the car's performance.

Yeah, I checked the air intake, seems clear. The car has about 86800 km on it. If it's the throttle position sensor, is that usually part of the whole throttle body assembly or can it be replaced separately?

With that mileage and the code pointing to the throttle valve, it's likely the whole throttle body needs replacing. It's often integrated. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to confirm before buying parts.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to the workshop as you suggested. They confirmed it was the throttle body and replaced it. Cost me around 265€, but the car is running like new again!

Could be the throttle position sensor acting up. Have you checked the air intake for any obstructions? Also, how many kilometers are on the car?
