Sentra Tire Pressure ABS and Steering Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2001 Nissan Sentra experienced issues with the tire pressure warning light, ABS lamp, and steering difficulties, accompanied by a shaking steering wheel. The suspected cause was a defective valve leading to air loss in the tire. A similar issue was resolved by replacing the valve, which was confirmed by a workshop diagnosis, successfully solving the problem.

It happens all the time. What was the problem on your car?

For me, it was a defective valve, like you said! The tire was losing air constantly, which is why I felt the increased effort required when steering. I didn't catch it until the tire pressure monitoring went off. I'd get it checked at a workshop to be safe. Don't keep driving it!

Thanks for the input. Shop diagnosed a valve defect, as suspected. Repair cost 280€. Problem solved.

Dude, I had the exact same thing happen on my Sentra! Except I didn't see the ABS light. Was the shaking constant, or just at certain speeds? The vibrations felt like something was seriously wrong, right? It could just be a flat tire, but I would check the tire pressure sensor and if the tires are correctly inflated.
