Sequoia Hybrid Stalling Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Toyota Sequoia hybrid was experiencing stalling at red lights and a check engine light, with an OBD2 reader indicating a fuel level sensor fault. The issue was suspected to be related to a fuse, sensor, wiring, or fuel pump. After checking the manual and considering possible causes, it was confirmed that the problem was indeed a fuse, which was replaced at a shop, resolving the issue.

I checked the manual, but I'm not sure which fuse is for the fuel level sensor, or if there even IS one. Could it be something else? Maybe the fuel pump is bad?

It could be something else, like the sensor, the wiring, or the fuel pump. But since the error code is for the fuel level sensor, I wouldn't replace the fuel pump right away. Hybrid fuel systems can be complex, so I'd recommend a workshop for diagnosis and repair.

Thanks! It WAS just a fuse, can you believe it? Cost me 52€ at the shop. I feel dumb for not figuring it out, but I'm so glad it wasn't a big deal!

A fuel level sensor fault can cause those symptoms. The check engine light comes on because of the error, and stalling could happen if the engine management system gets bad fuel level data. A fuse is possible, but less likely on newer cars. Check your owner's manual for the fuse layout. If the fuse is good, it needs more investigation.
