Serena gearbox slipping

I've got a Serena too. Gearbox slipping sounds familiar. Have you checked for any oil leakage around the transfer case? Maybe the oil level is low, causing the shifting issues. When was the last time you changed the transfer case oil?

I haven't specifically looked for oil leakage. I was thinking the oil was just old. If it's leaking, that's a different story. Was it a simple oil change fix for you, or something more serious?

It wasn't just an oil change. The oil level was fine, but the slipping persisted. I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed that the gears in the transfer case were indeed worn. I'd recommend getting it checked out by a professional.

Appreciate the insight! Sounds like I need to get it looked at. Workshop visit it is! I got it repaired by a local mechanic and it cost me 330€, all good now!
