Serena Key Battery Low Warning
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Nissan Serena owner reported a persistent 'key battery low' warning, with keyless access failing and issues with locking and unlocking. The suspected cause was an empty battery in the key fob. A suggestion was made to replace the key battery, which resolved the problem. If the issue persists, further inspection at a workshop might be necessary, but the battery replacement is typically the primary solution.

Thanks for the quick reply! Was it the same symptoms as mine: keyless entry failing completely and sometimes struggling to lock/unlock? I haven't changed the battery yet, wanted to check if there's anything else it could be before I do that.

Exactly the same. Keyless was dead, had to use the physical key. Changing the battery sorted it right out. If that doesn't do it, might be worth getting it checked at a workshop, but battery is the usual suspect.

Thanks a lot! Replaced the battery and it solved the problem. Cost me 37€, well within budget. Appreciate the help!

Yep, had that with my old BMW. Dead key fob is annoying. Have you tried changing the battery in the key itself? That usually fixes it.
