Siena rain light sensor issue

I'm getting a rain-light sensor error on my 2001 Fiat Siena diesel with 211256 km. Error stored, no auto-wiping in rain, no auto headlight control, no speedometer dimming, and lights switch on. Anyone seen this?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my 2015 Opel Astra when the rain sensor went bonkers. Did you check for visual damage to the sensor or moisture around it?

On my Astra, bubbles formed under the gel pad of the windshield where the sensor sits. Water caused it to act up. If you can't figure it out, get it checked at a workshop, just in case.
