The error code isn't specific, just a general system failure. Any idea what the root cause was in your BMW? I am thinking maybe a bad control module, or a ground issue.

Turned out to be a defective cable connection to the BUS system. The workshop identified it quickly. If your scan tool isn't giving you specifics, and it affects multiple systems, I would suggest going to a trusted workshop.

Thanks for the insight! I had a feeling it was a wiring issue. Took it to my mechanic, and you were spot on - defective cable connection to the BUS system. Repair cost was 155€. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar. I had similar problems with my old BMW 3-Series. Random system failures, weird error messages... was a nightmare. Did the error code give you any hints about which system is failing?
