Good to know I'm not alone! No, I haven't noticed any power loss. Just the noise and the error code. Is replacing the flap motor something I can handle myself, or is it best left to a pro?

If you're comfortable with a bit of wrenching, you might be able to do it yourself. But honestly, access can be a pain. Since you've got the error code and the noise, a workshop visit is probably your best bet. They'll diagnose it properly and can replace the entire exhaust system if required to fix any exhaust blockage.

Thanks! I appreciate the advice. Took it to the shop, and you were spot on. Defective exhaust flap. They replaced it, and the total cost was 190€. Running smoothly and quietly now!

Yep, sounds familiar! I had the same thing happen on my Sienna. Louder exhaust, especially when cold. Check the flap motor, that's usually the culprit. Are you experiencing any loss of power, especially at lower RPMs?
