I haven't had the brakes checked recently. The car is driven every day but only for short distances. What was eventually the cause of the issue with your Volvo?

After a bit of digging and a visit to a mechanic, it turned out to be a undervoltage issue that messed with the ABS system which then again gave strange feedback. I'd suggest getting yours checked out by a professional. It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to brakes. Ended up costing me around 240€ due to the new metal brakes

I appreciate the insight. I'll get it booked in for a check-up. It was the brakes, the error code pointed to a undervoltage issue, and after replacing the brake shoes and metal brakes, the error code was gone. All in all it cost me 240€

That sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my older Volvo V60 a while back. I was getting weird vibrations and inconsistent pedal feel when braking. Have you had the brakes checked recently? Could be worn disc brakes or maybe an issue with the hydraulic brakes. Has the car been standing for a long time?
