Sienna Hybrid Transport Mode Issue

My 2020 Toyota Sienna Hybrid dashboard says it's in transport mode. I also have a general electrical malfunction, and the navigation isn't working. It's a new vehicle, so I'm puzzled. Anyone seen this?

Summary of the thread

A 2020 Toyota Sienna Hybrid displayed a "transport mode" message on the dashboard, accompanied by a general electrical malfunction and non-functional navigation. This issue is typically related to the vehicle's immobilizer being locked for shipping purposes. The problem was resolved by the dealer, who reset the system, indicating it was inadvertently left in transport mode during preparation. A software refresh or dealer intervention is suggested for similar issues.

Interesting. I have a Sienna Hybrid, too, and I ran into something similar a while back. Transport mode usually means the car's immobilizer and some other systems are locked down for shipping. Are you sure it wasn't accidentally activated? Maybe a software glitch? Does the key fob work properly?

I appreciate the information. The key fob appears to be working correctly for locking and unlocking. However, I am unfamiliar with how transport mode could be activated or deactivated. Could a software refresh be a potential solution?

Yeah, that sounds like what happened to me. The dealer had to reset something with their diagnostic tools; probably a car configuration issue. It's likely a software thing related to the immobilizer, so a software refresh could help, but honestly, you'll probably need them to take a look and clear the transport mode. It's a pain, I know!

Thank you for the clarification and advice. I contacted the dealer, and they confirmed the vehicle was inadvertently left in transport mode during preparation. They reset the system, and everything is now functioning correctly. Repair cost: 0€
