Thanks for the insights. When you say 'went bad,' what specific symptoms did you see, and what troubleshooting did you do to confirm the exhaust sensor was the problem? Also, do you remember the error code?

Yes, absolutely! I had the same symptoms – check engine light and terrible fuel economy. I don't recall the exact error code, but my mechanic mentioned it pointed to a faulty O2 sensor. Before taking it to the workshop, I checked the wiring, but I would recommend you go to a workshop, especially if you don't have the tools.

I appreciate you confirming your experience with the O2 sensor issue. Based on your input, I took the Sienna to my local workshop. You were spot on. The diagnosis was a defective oxygen sensor due to a faulty plug connection, and the repair cost me approximately 95€ Thank you again!

I had a similar issue with my Sienna. The check engine light was driving me crazy! Did you check the exhaust sensor near the catalytic converter? When mine went bad, it threw a code and tanked my fuel efficiency. I'd definitely give that a look before you start replacing parts.
