Sienna transmission shifting issues

My 2014 Toyota Sienna, gasoline engine, is acting up. The automatic transmission is shifting implausibly, the transmission light is on, and sometimes it just limps along in emergency mode. Mileage is nearing 150k km. I suspect undervoltage; has anyone seen anything similar?

Whoa, sounds rough! I've got a Sienna too, and had similar craziness a while back. Was your issue constant, or did it come and go?

It's intermittent. Some days it's perfectly fine, others it turns into a total basket case. How was it in your case?

Yeah, sounds exactly like mine. It started intermittent, got worse quickly. Turned out the oil was totally worn. Get it to a workshop to have it checked; you really shouldn't drive like that.

I appreciate the insight. Took it to the shop; you nailed it – oil was shot. 240€ later, new oil in the transmission and she's shifting smooth as butter. Thanks again for the heads-up!
