Sienna transmission shifting issues
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Toyota Sienna was experiencing transmission shifting issues, with the transmission light on and occasionally entering emergency mode. The problem was suspected to be related to undervoltage. However, after consulting with others who had similar experiences, it was suggested to check the transmission oil. Upon inspection, the oil was found to be worn out, and replacing it resolved the shifting issues.

It's intermittent. Some days it's perfectly fine, others it turns into a total basket case. How was it in your case?

Yeah, sounds exactly like mine. It started intermittent, got worse quickly. Turned out the oil was totally worn. Get it to a workshop to have it checked; you really shouldn't drive like that.

I appreciate the insight. Took it to the shop; you nailed it – oil was shot. 240€ later, new oil in the transmission and she's shifting smooth as butter. Thanks again for the heads-up!

Whoa, sounds rough! I've got a Sienna too, and had similar craziness a while back. Was your issue constant, or did it come and go?
